Program Schedule

Students will engage in their academic workshop from 9am to noon Monday-Friday. In addition, enrichment electives will occur in the afternoons. On the weekends, we will explore the surrounding region.

Electives

In the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to choose an elective:

  • Athletics

  • College Admissions

  • Public Speaking

  • Digital Arts

  • Life Skills

  • Service Learning

Afternoon Recreational Activities

For afternoon activities, students will take advantage of campus facilities, green spaces, and nearby trails.

Off-site Excursions

On the weekend, students will explore California’s Central Coast which offers world-class hiking and beaches. Additional highlights include Hearst Castle, Avila Beach, Morro Bay, Ravine water park, local farmer’s markets, a SLO Blues baseball game and more!

Summer Springboard @ Cal Poly is a partnership between The Cal Poly Extended, Professional & Continuing Education and Summer Springboard (SSB), a leader in pre-college summer programs for teens. The purpose of the program is to expose students to Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing philosophy and to allow high school students to experience living on the campus of Cal Poly.
